This little distorted bass one-shot was made using a combination of sine-compression and filtering techniques in conjunction with reverse reverb/ bit-crushing. I also added a pitch fall near the end. This is almost the same kick drum i´ve uploaded previously, but this has more compression and overtones in the sub bass, along with an interesting technique i´ve been doing, lemme explain. . . I put the original sample twice in my daw (fl studio if you ask),leave the first sound like it is and the second sample is being equalized in a way that only the sub bass is being showed, so i added to that the saturation plugin ivgi2 from klangheim industries and slammed it with the plugin ott by xfer records about 9 times. Equalized the sound again to cut the sub bass and leave the raw high end sound you hear, finally added an izotope ozone imager to make it wider.

Back in 2015 i have rendered this loop to show my mates how effective ableton's vocal eq presets actually are. I encourage you to try them yourself as well. (not sure about sample key, 150 bpm).
